Location decided for Danube bridge.

Japanese construction consulting company Itochu has reached the conclusion that the new bridge crossing the Danube has to be built at the half way point between Braila and Galati to connect traffic with Tulcea county.

Works are expected to start on the 300 million USD bridge in 2003, by a consortium of companies decided by special bids.

The 920 meter long bridge will have a four- lane motorway. Itochu would soon present the final version of the feasibility study of the construction.
